PII FortressPII FortressBy installing or using PII Fortress ("the Extension," "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.
These Terms apply to all users, including free (Guard) users and paid subscribers (Sentinel, Vault). We may update these Terms from time to time — continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
PII Fortress is a Chrome browser extension that provides privacy protection features including, but not limited to:
Features available depend on your subscription tier. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time with reasonable notice where practical.
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Extension on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial purposes.

The Guard tier is free forever. No payment information is required. Core privacy features remain available at no charge for the lifetime of the Extension.
Sentinel ($4.99/month) and Vault ($9.99/month) are billed on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe, or as a one-time payment via supported cryptocurrency. Annual plans, where available, are billed once per year at a discounted rate.
Your subscription begins on the date of confirmed payment. For crypto payments, activation occurs upon on-chain transaction confirmation. Your license key grants access for the subscription period tied to your payment.
Monthly Stripe subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time via your Stripe billing portal or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — access continues until then.
We will send renewal reminders via in-extension notification 30 days, 7 days, and 24 hours before expiry.
Card payments (Stripe): You may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase if the Extension does not function as described. To request a refund, email support@pii-fortress.com with your order confirmation. Refunds are not available after 7 days or for renewals after the first billing cycle.
We reserve the right to decline refund requests where we determine the Extension has been used substantially or where abuse of the refund policy is suspected.
You agree not to use the Extension to:
Certain features rely on third-party APIs including Have I Been Pwned (HIBP), Google Safe Browsing, Stripe, and blockchain networks. Your use of those features is subject to the respective third party's terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.
The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
Privacy protection is probabilistic, not absolute. The Extension reduces your exposure — it does not guarantee complete anonymity or security.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PII Fortress and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your reliance on the Extension's output.
In no event shall our total cumulative liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the Extension in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access to paid features immediately if you violate these Terms, particularly the licence restrictions in Section 3. We will attempt to provide notice where reasonably possible.
You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from Chrome. Uninstalling removes all locally stored Extension data from your device.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PII Fortress is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-extension notification or by posting a notice on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
